Zhang Dewei DREW
Born and raised in Hong Kong, Drew was always a great student and quick learner. Went to vet school and graduated with honors, filling his mother's heart with joy for being the first in his family to get a degree. Soon after he was offered a job at Central Park Zoo, where he immediately accepted and later on started working on the Bronx's as well.
It was hard for him to leave his mom back in Hong Kong, but he promised her that, as soon as he settled in, he would put her on a plane so they'd live together in America. A few months into the job, though, he received the sad news that she passed due a heart attack.
One year later he still griefs, but made himself a promise to make her proud wherever she is, working hard to provide the zoo animals the best lives they can get.

At the age of 21, working his best to graduate and dealing with a lot of pressure, Drew found out that his one night stand was pregnant with his baby. He spent weeks blaming himself for not being careful enough, and debating whether or not to tell his mother or anyone at all. After a long conversation, he decided he'd support the girl - who was willing to keep the child - the best he could, and try his best to be the father figure his son needed and he never had. Although this might look like a happy ending, pretty much no one in his life knows he has a child. He used to think it was better this way, but now he just overworks so he doesn't have to think about it.
